Sandalwood

Sandalwood is known for its creamy, soft, and slightly sweet scent, often described  as woody and warm. It has a meditative quality that lasts for hours, making it a popular choice in perfume. 

Sandalwood is a base note — meaning it sits underneath the brighter top and heart notes of a fragrance and slowly emerges over hours. The sensory profile:

Creamy and milky -- a soft, almost dairy-like roundness. 

Sweet but not sugary -- a natural light sweetness, more like dried fruit or honey than candy. As it dries down on skin or in a room, it develops a faint powdered-sugar character.

Quietly woody -- the wood character is present but never aggressive.
